About
A CV builder with no server and no strings
DisCV exists to prove that a useful, polished tool does not need to collect your data. It is a static site that does all of its work in your browser.
The zero-backend approach
Most online résumé builders ask you to create an account, upload your history to their servers, and trust that it stays private. DisCV takes the opposite route. There is no backend to store anything: the entire application is pre-built static files, and your work lives in your browser's local storage.
That means no sign-up, no password to forget, and no database holding a copy of your career. It also means there is nothing to breach, because there is nothing central to breach.
What you can do here
- Build a structured CV with repeatable sections you can reorder and hide.
- Switch between five responsive themes and tune the accent and type scale.
- Preview the A4 page, complete with page-break guides, as you type.
- Export a clean, watermark-free PDF generated on your own machine.
- Back up and move your data with JSON Resume import and export.
How it is built
The marketing pages are static HTML with no client-side JavaScript. Only the builder itself ships a JavaScript island, and even its PDF engine is loaded lazily, the moment you ask for an export. Fonts are self-hosted, so browsing the site makes no third-party requests.
Who it is for
Anyone who wants a good-looking CV without handing over personal data: first-time applicants, career changers, and privacy-conscious professionals alike. If you would rather your résumé belonged to you and no one else, this tool was built for you.
