Your data never leaves this device

DisCV is a zero-backend application. There is no server that receives your résumé, because there is no account and nothing to send it to.

What we collect

Nothing. DisCV has no accounts, no email capture, no analytics, and no advertising trackers. We do not set cookies and we do not fingerprint visitors. The pages you read are plain, static HTML.

Where your CV is stored

Everything you type is saved to your browser's local storage on your own device, under the key discv:document:v1. It stays there until you change it, clear your browser data, or use the Reset action in the builder. No copy of it exists anywhere else.

What leaves your device

Your résumé content does not. When you export, both the PDF and the JSON Resume file are generated locally in your browser and saved directly to your device.

The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or images. The typefaces used by the editor and the PDF export are self-hosted from this site, so there are no requests to external font services either.

Deleting your data

Because the data lives only in your browser, deleting it is entirely in your hands. Use the Reset action in the builder to return to a blank document, or clear site data for this domain in your browser settings. Exporting a JSON backup first is a good habit if you want to keep a copy.

Questions

DisCV is an open, privacy-first tool. If anything here is unclear, the same commitments are reflected in the way the application is built: no backend, no accounts, no tracking.
